Smart Parts: Goggleflauge

Goggleflauge is made to break up the outline of your head and make it easier for you to look around bunkers or whatever you may be hiding behind without the enemy seeing you. Goggleflauge sells for about $20.00 dollars and comes in many different patterns like Trebark (the one I got), tiger stripe, woodland, and many others. One side note goggleflauge is made for playing in the woods it won't make a difference in speed ball, maybe for an intimidation factor for the newbies but that's about it.

When I first got my goggleflauge I was pretty happy with the looks of it. The coloring had a nice pattern to it and overall looked well. It's made out of neoprene so it is very light, you won't notice much in the way of a weight increase on the mask.

Installation is fairly simple; the hardest part was disconnecting the strap from the lens frame on my flex-7 mask. Once off the strap goes through the holes in the goggleflauge. Once that is accomplished you can position the goggleflauge around the lens and then tie it down with the plastic ties that come with the goggleflauge. The only real gripe I have is that on the flex-7 there is no support for the gogleflauge on the top of the mask so you kind of have to bend it over and tie it down so that it doesn't slide over the lens.

Overall this stuff looks pretty good in the woods. It definitely increases your chances of not being seen. Cleaning the lens does get a little harder with it on mainly because you have those little fringes on the edge of the lens and they are a pain to get around. Taking the goggleflauge on and off is a little time consuming so if you are going to put it on plan on leaving it there. One side affect if you are playing on a nice hot day the goggleflauge will keep in some of the heat, so it will be hotter under that mask. Also if you are playing on a hot muggy day your lens will have the tendency to fog up a little faster due to the fact that the goggleflauge is keeping in a lot of heat from your head.

Also two ear pieces and a lens cleaning cloth come with the goggleflauge.

My Flex-7 mask with the goggle flauge and the tiger stripe goggle skinz on it. Sorry about the crappy scan, but the scanner here at school is not that good.
